Operator, Power Plant

The goal of the Plant Operations/Maintenance Department is to provide a safe, comfortable, compliant physical environment.  The Plant Operations/Maintenance department performs routine repair and maintenance and renders services essential to hospital, office buildings and off-site services.

Role Purpose

Coordinate and assists activities of personnel engaged in maintaining the physical plant as required.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to power plant operators.
• Operates, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains all physical plant equipment in compliance with all department procedures, policies, and all applicable compliance and federal, state and local regulations.
• Repairs, maintains, tests, operates, and documents fire alarm system and fire protection water systems in accordance with regulations.
• Monitors elevators and determines if service is to be dispatched. Repairs and maintains all pumps, refrigeration equipment and controls.
• Completes all safety documentation and logs.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 5-10 years

Supervisor Experience

• No Experience

Preferred Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• SE - Class 1, HVAC/EPA Refrig
