The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that their 501c3 Foundation will be awarding $1000 scholarships to seniors who are pursuing a higher education. Those high schools that are eligible include Triad High School, Father McGivney High School and Maryville Christian School.
CHAMBER FOUNDATION AWARDS FOUR $1,000 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL SENIORS
Four local high school seniors were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship, which will be used to further their education. “The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber 501c3 Foundation was established to award scholarships each year to local high school students” said Dawn Mushill, Executive Director. “The Foundation had a very successful Fore! The Foundation event in 2021 so we were able to increase our awards to four scholarships” said Mushill. Award criteria is based on the students’ community service, letters of recommendation and scholastic grades.
There were three 2022 scholarship winners from Triad High School (Amanda Beuth, Camryn Howze and Sophia Miller) and one 2022 scholarship winner from Father McGivney High School (Olivia Jackson). The students were presented their awards at their school assemblies in May.
The Chamber Foundation will be hosting two fundraisers in 2022 for the 2023 scholarships. The first event will be the 3rd Annual Fore! The Foundation Golf Scramble, which will take place on Friday, October 7, at Oak Brook Golf Course in Edwardsville. Currently there is room for teams, sponsors, tee signs and volunteers. Last year’s event was a sellout!
The other Chamber Foundation fundraiser will take place on Saturday, November 12, where CMA, ACM and Grammy Award Winning Artist Bryan White will be performing at Time Out in Troy. Bryan’s special guest for the evening will be the Shotgun Creek Band.
General admission tickets are available for $10. VIP tickets, which include general admission, buffet and draft beer, can be purchased for $50. A variety of sponsorships levels are also available and all sponsorship level attendees will be part of the Meet & Greet with both Bryan White and the Shotgun Creek Band. There are a limited number of tickets for this event. Only those 21 and over will be able to attend.
All donations for both events are tax deductible (be sure to consult your accountant). Checks should be written to the Troy/Maryville 501c3 Chamber Foundation. For more information on either of the events, contact the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce at www.troymaryvillecoc.com or give them a call at 618-667-8769.
Dear Business Owner:
The Troy/Maryville Chamber Foundation is very pleased to be facilitating the advertisement sales and production of the 2022/23 Fall and Winter Triad High School sports books. These books contain all of the sports schedules and general information about each sport and are distributed at every single Triad sporting event throughout the sports season.
The Chamber Foundation first began producing the books in the 2021/22 sports season. The feedback has been nothing but outstanding. The full color, high quality books provide sporting event attendees the opportunity to see their favorite athletes and also see our local business supporters.
The Chamber Foundation’s goal is to utilize our resources to be able to assist Triad in using this booklet as a major fundraiser. The advertisement information is attached. You will find additional instructions on the application form. Remember, the Chamber’s Foundation is a 501c3. Please consult with your accountant for any tax deduction opportunities.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
