The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce Foundation is proud to announce that they will be awarding four (4) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are pursuing a higher education.  Those high schools students that are eligible include seniors from Triad High School, Father McGivney High School and Maryville Christian School.

“This has been one of our goals for a long time” said Dawn Mushill, Executive Director.  “We formed a 501c3 Foundation in 2018 so that we could offer scholarships to our students and also be able to utilize the funds for other educational expenses.  In October of 2020, COVID and all, we hosted a Chamber FORE the Foundation Golf Scramble and we able to raise $4,000 at that event” said Mushill.

Students who apply will be asked to write a 400-500 word essay on how they plan to change the world.  They will also be asked to submit their current transcripts; a list of honors, awards, school participation and community service; and two letters of recommendations.

Last year the Foundation was able to award three (3) $500 scholarships because the Foundation was unable to host any type of fundraiser in the spring of 2020.  To date, the Foundation has awarded $4,500 and this year’s award will take them to $8,500.  “We know our students and our parents are grateful for the additional money for college” said Mushill.

Applications for the scholarships can be found at www.troymaryvillecoc.com.  The deadline for submission is April 5, 2021.  The scholarships will be awarded at the individual high school events
