DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 1st Annual Night of the Stars Fundraiser! On Saturday April 18th at Firemen's Hall we will be celebrating the businesses and people in our community that make a difference!\n\n\n\nWe will be giving out the following awards:\n\n \n\nLifetime Achievement Award \n\nThis award is given to a person that has contributed multiple years to their community through volunteering and giving back. This person has committed themselves to their community for a substantial period of time. \n\n \n\nCommunity Service Award\n\nThis person may volunteer a lot of their time to their community\, makes monetary donations\, donates items\, helps put events on\, and various other things. Overall\, they are very involved and well known throughout their community. \n\n \n\nTeacher of the Year \n\nThis person is a teacher that stands out among the rest by going above and beyond their normal teaching duties. They must teach grades K 5th. We will be giving one award to a teacher in the following communities. (Troy\, Maryville\, St. Jacob\, and Marine) \n\n \n\nFirst Responder of the Year\n\nThis person is a first responder that stands out among the rest by going above and beyond their normal duties. This category includes police\, firefighters\, and EMT's. We will be giving one award to a first responder in the following communities. (Troy\, Maryville\, St. Jacob\, and Marine)\n\n \n\nFuture Star Award\n\nThis award is for a Sophomore or Junior in High School that excels in the classroom and in their community by giving back and volunteering. \n\n \n\nLarge Business of the Year\n\nThis business has to have more than 40 employees and may be nominated for various reasons but some examples are but not limited to their customer service\, community involvement\, giving back\, or economic development. They are a business that goes ABOVE the rest! \n\n \n\nSmall Business of the Year\n\nThis business has to less than 40 employees and may be nominated for various reasons but some examples are but not limited to their customer service\, community involvement\, giving back\, or economic development. They are a business that goes ABOVE the rest! \n\n \n\nNon-Profit Business of the Year\n\nThis is a business that operates not-for-profit. Some non-for-profit examples could be churches\, charitable organizations\, rescues\, or volunteer organizations. They may be nominated for various reasons but some examples are but not limited to their customer service\, community involvement\, giving back\, or economic development. \n\n \n\nChamber Member of the Year\n\nThis person/business is VERY involved and are very committed to supporting the Chamber. Some examples of reasons to nominate someone for this award include: donating their time when asked or needed\, donating items or making monetary donations\, promoting the Chamber\, and utilizing their Chamber benefits. \n\n \n\nAmbassador of the Year\n\nThis award is for an ambassador of the Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce that goes above and beyond their duties as an ambassador. This includes attendance at events\, volunteering their time\, promoting the chamber\, etc.
