SUMMARY:St. Jacob UCC Strawberry Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Strawberry Festival will be held OUTSIDE at the St. Jacob Township Park and St Jacob United Church of Christ parking lot.  The event features crafts\, musical entertainment\, pony rides\, amusement rides\, a raffle\, great food and delicious strawberry desserts. Due to Covid we had a drive thru event last year which was attended very well.  This year we are going to be doing drive thru\, serving gilled brats\, hotdogs\, pork burgers\, strawberry desserts.  We are planning on having drive by crafters\, musical entertainment and our raffle will be virtual.  If the Covid restrictions are lessened we will have more activities at the St Jacob Township Park as well. The attendance for our event is usually around 3000. There will be a raffle during the Strawberry Festival on Facebook Live that we are soliciting for donations. There is a printed ticket with the raffle items listed on the ticket with the name of the business printed on the ticket that donated the prize item.  Proceeds from our event go to St. Jacob United Church of Christ.  The proceeds will be used for Sunday school supplies\, day to day operating costs for the church\, youth events\, fellowship meals\, worship supplies. This is our biggest fundraising event. Our church has a small strong congregation and we are strong in our faith and helping our community.  Our church is over 150 yrs old and is an active participant in the community of St. Jacob and its surrounding area. \n\n\nWe are a non-profit religious organization\, thru the Illinois South Conference and National United Church of Christ.
