If you love science, experiments, and making discoveries about the world around you, or simply want to know more about how the world works, then our science camp is for you! This summer we will be exploring five areas of science using hands-on STEAM techniques along with the scientific method. You will work in groups to perform experiments, analyze data, and invent ways to improve your results.
To register, turn this form in along with your payment to the St. Paul's School Office by June 1st. Hurry, camp fills up at 30 students! View More Info
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM is important because it reaches into every part of our lives. STEM activities provide hands-on and minds-on lessons for the student. Making math and science both fun and interesting helps the student to do much more than just learn.
We started out to open a chapter of the STEM Scouts program coordinated by Boy Scouts of America. After a year of effort, however, the St. Louis division of BSA has decided to abandon the STEM Scouts program. We are not willing to abandon our mission, though. This area needs a program of this nature. The clubs that currently exist are saturated. We want to create more opportunities for kids to learn to appreciate and love technology as we do.
This is where you come in. Funds raised will be used to subsidize the cost of enrollment, educational supplies, and to fund field trips that will make the program an even better experience. If you would like to be a part of this program and give back to the community in a meaningful way, please contact me at your convenience to make a donation or to learn more about the program.
