I would like to thank the chamber members who have supported me in my new business, and let the chamber members know when I need anything I look at the chamber list first, and so far have been able to use several businesses in our chamber. It is truly a joy belonging to such an active group of people. I have been a member of the Chamber since 2008. I have built a clientele of more than a dozen clients that I only got because I was a member of the Chamber. My ongoing business more than pays for my membership dues and activities every year, and I utilize the discounted services at least once a week. My name is Sherry Anders and the publication I work for, Today's Advantage, has been a Chamber member for several years. I am lucky to also serve as a Chamber Ambassador.
I grew up in Quincy, IL, a very close-knit, community oriented, everybody knows everybody kind of place. When there is a cause or project, you can always count on people there to cheerfully roll up their sleeves and enjoy the challenge. Most have a lot of fun being together working to make things better.
The folks that comprise our Chamber membership remind me of my hometown.
The presence of a wonderful esprit de corps is just the way things automatically operate. It's amazing to watch and be a part of the genuine support given to the community, businesses (member and non-member), and individuals, by our Chamber. It is one of the most rewarding experiences I get to be a part of.
