E-news Deadline
We hear from so many of you that you love this publication -- the e-news. Our goal is to bring you as much information as possible in a little amount of space. We would like to begin sending out this publication every Monday so that there is some consistency with the document.
If you would like to have items put into this publication, the deadline is the Friday prior at 4:00 p.m. This should provide some continuity to the publication. We will continue to publish the Chamber newsletter on the first of every month, with that deadline being the 25th of the prior month.

Pentecostals of Troy Offer Service
January orders are now being accepted for Angel Food Ministries. $60 of groceries can be purchased for $30, no personal checks, debit/credit cards, cash, or food stamps accepted. Anyone can participate, there are no income or guideline restrictions, Angel Food Ministries is not a food pantry. We offer rides to every church service and events in one of our vans. Home Friendship Groups meet weekly in Troy, and we have satellite church in Mascoutah, Breese, and Albers. Bibles studies are available in the comfort of your home at a time convenient for you. Studies include "Endtime," and "More To Life" for ladies.

First National Bank - Maryville Hosting Blood Drive
First National Bank - Maryville Banking Center is hosting a blood drive on January 4th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The blood supply at the Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC) is extremely low. All donors will receive a free shirt. Please encourage your friends and family to come by that afternoon to donate. We are located on Route 159 next door to Bobby's Frozen Custard at 2623 N Center St in Maryville. Hope we see you there!

Maryville Community Library Scavenger Hunt
Maryville’s New Year’s Day Scavenger Hunt
Instead of sitting on the couch all day or going to the mall and spending $$$ Maryville Parks and Rec Committee is sponsoring their 4th Annual Scavenger Hunt on January 1, 2010 from 1:00-3:00 PM.
The event will start at Maryville’s Senior Center, 500 E. Division Street. Participants will receive a sheet with directions and a map. Each group will also need a digital camera with fresh batteries and room on their memory card to document their travels! Groups may want bring along a few unusual things that could be used as props in their pictures. Winners will be judged on creativity.
The journey around town should take one hour. Participants will return to the Senior Center with their pictures on the camera and enjoy some hot chocolate, light refreshments and laughs.
In case of extremely inclement weather (snow, sleet or rain that would make the event dangerous), the event will be cancelled. For more information contact Sharon at 345-1837, Carol at 288-3142, Judy at 288-9232. The event is FREE and open to anyone who wants to have an afternoon of fun!!!

Respit Care Rooms Available
Cedarhurst Assisted living now has a respit care rooms at our facility. The introductory price is $110/day. This is more affordable then most hotels. So if your loved one needs a place to stay while your away for the weekend or week they can get all the amenities and services that our normal residents get. And the food is fantastic. The price is everything included.

New Tumbling and Irish Stepdance classes
Tumbling is rolling to weeknights! CARD is now offering tumbling classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings! Parent/Tot Tumbling on Tuesdays from 5:15-5:50 pm, Beginning Tumbling on Tuesday evenings from 6-6:45 pm or Thursday nights from 5:15-9 pm, and Intermediate/Advanced Tumbling on Thursday from 6:10-6:55 pm.
Irish Stepdance classes for children age 6-18 years old begin on February 1. These evening classes are held on Monday or Wednesday nights for seven weeks. Classes to learn the Irish War Drum are held on Monday nights from 8-8:30 pm for children 6 years and over.

New classes will be offered at Troy United Methodist Church on Wednesday evenings for six weeks, beginning January 6.
“Parenting Your Teenager” based on the book by Les and Leslie Parrott. The study will be led by Family Minister, David Roderick, in room 116/117
“Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear” based on the book by Max Lucado. The study will be led by Director of Lay Ministry, Deb Inman in the Conference Room.
Bible Study “The Book of John”. The study will be led by Senior Minister, Dennis D. Price in the Sanctuary.
$10.00 donation will be accepted for each study except for the study on the Book of John.

Alumni Night at St. Paul's Lutheran
St. Paul's Lutheran is hosting an Alumni Night at the next home Tiger Basketball game on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 starting with the "C" team playing at 6:30 p.m.
followed by the "A" team game at approximately 7:30. The Tigers will face Zion Lutheran from Litchfield. The admission price for St. Paul's Lutheran School alumni is only $1 per person. Come pack out the bleachers as we watch our teams play in our new gym and cheer them on to victory! Your admission covers both games. Please contact the school at 667-6314 with any questions.
